Dental Implants

dental implants

Implants have been used for many years to replace missing teeth. They are becoming increasingly popular and more affordable. Often other than dentures, alternative treatments to replace missing teeth involve removing healthy tooth tissue and putting extra strain on teeth. Implants remove the need for this.

Implants can be used to replace one or more teeth and can be used in combination with dentures to improve their stability. Missing teeth or ill fitting dentures an affect our general health. With reduced chewing power you are not able to digest food properly, which can lead to digestive problems and increased medication to help combat this. A solution could be to have either conventional implants or mini implants placed to fit to your existing denture.

When only two or three teeth are missing each tooth can be replaced with an implant or often alternatively a bridge can be constructed to fit over fewer implants.

When all your teeth are missing in one or both arches, several implants can be placed to support a full arch bridge, which is fixed in place, unlike a denture which has to be removed.

There are many different types of implant manufacturers. At myFACE we only use established branded implants. Our conventional implants are either Ankylos or Biohorizons, and our mini implants are 3M.

If you would like a free consultation on the best way we can replace your missing teeth and alternative options please call reception and book an appointment.
